Job Details

We are currently seeking a Electrical Substation Design Engineer (Senior) for our Power Division. The candidate will work remotely with a group located across the United States and Canada. Tetra Tech offers the opportunity to have access to a local office if required. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required. Responsibilities

• Assigns and outlines work, advises on technical problems, and reviews work for technical accuracy and adequacy.
• Reviews and prepares technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with technical requirements.
• Prepares proposal writeups and estimates based on client Request for Proposals (RFPs).
• Develops, approves, and co-ordinates work schedules to ensure that objectives of cost, quality, and time are met
• Requires effective working relationships with colleagues, officials, and associates for the purpose of discussing design problems, explaining design features and specifications, and other project control criteria
• Establishes and maintains client contacts to seek or provide technical information related to the immediate project
• Analyses problems, organizes investigations, and determines specific design criteria
• Makes commitments on acceptance of projects, completion dates, resources and staff required to meet objectives
• Is required to have knowledge of related disciplines / fields of engineering

Requirements

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $190,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to : education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.

Additional Information

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in the US. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
