Director of Quality

We are seeking a Director of Quality to lead our quality assurance and control initiatives. Seeking candidates who have been Quality Managers and are looking to take the next step in their careers, as well as candidates with prior Director experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier selection and management, tactical and strategic abilities, and a background in Lean & Six Sigma principles. The Director of Quality will be responsible for overseeing quality audits, inspections, and the continuous improvement of our quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Lead quality audits and inspections to assess compliance with ISO 9001.
• Analyze data from quality metrics to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality assurance practices into all stages of product development and fabrication.
• Oversee the training and development of staff on quality assurance processes and best practices.
• Manage the quality inspection process to ensure that all products meet established specifications before release.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Some domestic and international travel will be expected. Domestic to NYC rarely. 1 or 2 trips to China per year, roughly for a week or two each time
