Job descriptionWork 12-hour day shifts from 6 : 45 AM to 7 : 15 PM Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required Must work 3 weekend days in a 6-week scheduling period Holiday work required when needed First to float between IMCU and ICU units, as well as Telemetry and Neurology May float to College Station campus (15 minutes away) with advance scheduling No call or standby requirements Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam with 83% score (three attempts allowed) before contract signing Minimum 2 years ICU experience required Must be comfortable working with IMCU patients and PCU level assignments Experience with ventilators, ABGs, arterial lines, central lines, drains, wound care, and titrating drips required Preferred experience with ventriculostomy, lumbar drains, and ICP monitoring Must be familiar with reading and interpreting telemetry strips Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Dress code : Navy blue scrubs for RNs 1-2 days unit-specific orientation provided Nurse-to-patient ratios : ICU 1 : 1-2 (occasionally 1 : 3), IMCU 1 : 3 Responsibilities include titrating cardiac drips, insulin, sedation medications, and managing high-acuity patients May be asked to precept as needed Call-outs strongly discouraged and could lead to termination Referral bonus

This healthcare facility operates a 36-bed combined ICU / IMCU unit with 24 beds dedicated to intensive care and 12 beds for intermediate care. The facility provides comprehensive critical care services including cardiovascular surgeries, trauma care, respiratory support, and medical intensive care. The unit features advanced monitoring capabilities, ventilator support, and specialized equipment for high-acuity patients. The facility maintains 24 / 7 intensivist and pulmonologist coverage with respiratory therapists available around the clock.
