Job Summary : The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting and executing key HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, recruiting, and leave of absence programs. This role ensures the organization remains compliant with employment laws, fosters a positive workplace culture, and supports employee and organizational development.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily : 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal / external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions :
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
Employee Relations :
Serves as the first point of contact for employees and managers in addressing inquiries, issues and communicating HR policies, and proceduresAssists with development, implementation, and administration of strategies to promote employee engagement and retentionSupports managers with performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolutionBenefits Administration :
Serves as a primary point of contact for employees with benefit-related questions or issuesSupports annual benefit open enrollment processes, and compliance with all legal requirementsRecruiting & Onboarding :
Responsible for full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring top talentBuilds and maintains a talent pipeline through networking, partnerships, and employer branding initiativesCoordinates and facilitates the onboarding process to ensure new hires have a positive and seamless transition into the organizationLeave of Absence :
Supports all aspects of leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, and otherProvides guidance to employees and managers on leave eligibility, processes, and return-to-work plansEnsures accurate record-keeping and compliance with all legal requirementsOrganizational Development :
Supports employee and manager development by identifying training needs, coordinating learning opportunities, and promoting continuous growth aligned with organizational goalsHR Compliance and Policies :
Stays updated on federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure complianceSupports the development and updates to HR policies and employee handbooks as neededWorks safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standardsPerforms other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesExcellent organizational and time-management skillsProficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suites, and other related computer software systemsOutstanding interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalismStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsCollaborative mindset with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organizationAdaptability and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environmentAbility to use independent judgment to make sound decisions in complex or sensitive situationsEducation and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) preferredMinimum of five years of HR experience to include recruiting and employee relations requiredBilingual (Spanish), preferredSupervisory Responsibilities :

Travel up to 15% to include ability to travel frequently to and from meetings or other business related both inter-state and out of state to include overnight staysValid state issued driver’s license requiredPhysical Requirements :
This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.This position frequently communicates with employees, legal counsel, vendors, government agencies, and stakeholders; must be able to exchange accurate informationThis role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machinesOccasionally moves or transports items weighing up to 10 lbs.Requires use of visual and auditory senses for environmental awareness and safe work executionWork Environment :
