Job descriptionThe Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of new construction projects from initial concept through completion. This role manages project scope, budget, schedule, quality, compliance, risk, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of ground-up builds (e.g., commercial buildings, multifamily, institutional and public works projects) in Los Angeles, California. Client Details Our client is a well-established GC specializing in high-end commercial projects in the Southern California area. The company is employee owned, has achieved steady growth with continuous pipeline of projects. They made over 3B in revenue last year and have plans to exceed that in 2026. Description Manage all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are achieved. Develop detailed project plans, including schedules and resource allocation. Monitor project progress and address any issues or changes promptly. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders. Oversee procurement of materials and resources necessary for project execution. Foster strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes. Profile A successful Project Manager should have: Education Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience Minimum 5+ years of construction project management experience with ground-up projects. Experience in commercial, multifamily, or large-scale builds strongly preferred. Skills & Abilities Strong leadership, organization, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with construction software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project). Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and contracts. Preferred Qualifications Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM, LEED, OSHA) are highly desirable. Experience with Los Angeles permitting processes and local building codes. Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
