The Role :

The Senior Accountant II will directly report to the Director, Accounting Operations. This position is expected to apply advanced technical knowledge and expertise to perform a full spectrum of financial, regulatory, reporting, and accounting assignments including preparation of complex financial transactions, reports, and related analysis. Communicates accounting issues, trends, and policy to senior management and other groups at the appropriate level of detail. Leads special projects, process improvement, and problem resolution.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

• Responsible for general ledger activities as assigned including, preparing journal entries, reconciling assigned balance sheet accounts, and providing analysis for assigned income statement accounts.
• Perform analytical review, research, and resolve complex accounting discrepancies or variances.
• Perform complex audits of financial records and transactions, review and match records and statements to ensure accuracy and resolve or make recommendations for correction.
• Create audit reports, and work with external auditors to support the annual audit process.
• Support due diligence and integration activities for acquisitions.
• Provide accounting support to assigned pharmacy locations.
• Continually assess and lead efforts to improve processes, enhance coordination, and develop efficiencies for accounting systems and work performed.
• Ensure compliance with current accounting standards, organizational policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Effectively interface with stakeholders to respond to inquiries and specific accounting transactions.
• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.
