Shipping / Receiving Crew

Responsibilities include but are not limited to loading & unloading trucks, storing materials, picking, palletizing, and scanning orders. Provides day-to-day assistance to Supervisor / Management. Responsible for understanding Daily's GMP's and safety policies.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to the following :

• Palletize and organize loads for shipment using correct stacking order. Ensure accuracy of each pallet and entire load
• Prepare and complete all necessary paperwork including bills of lading and invoices
• Ensure trucks are loaded in correct order for LTL transit, first stop loaded last, etc.
• Responsible for large quantities of product. Must be always honest and ethical to avoid unnecessary losses
• Assist in weekly, monthly, and year-end inventories and maintains accurate counts
• Rotates to related duties within the Shipping department
• Keep warehouse area clean and well organized.
• Uses wireless handheld scanner for accurate inventory reporting and recordkeeping
• Follow procedures outlined by Department Supervisor / Department Lead
• Follow Daily's attendance and punctuality rules
• Follow Daily's Good Manufacturing Processes
• Follow Daily's Safety Guidelines as outlined in Safety Handbook
• Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Daily's business objectives

Physical Demands

Work Environment

Temperature variations average of 40 degrees. Exposure to noise above 85 dbl (hearing protection required). Must be able to work in cold temperatures for extended periods of time, including in freezers and coolers.

Work Schedule

The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. Must be able and willing to work varying hours and overtime due to operational requirements.
