Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Performs patient care duties delegated by the Provider or clinical staff, maintains close communication and collaboration with clinical team, patient charts management, initial and on-treatment assessments, medical record management, assists with inpatient and skilled nursing facility patients, as well as data collection, data entry, analysis.
Responsibilities :
- Rooms patients; take and documents vitals
- Assists with reviewing and updating medications
- Completes and documents screening assessments
- Ensures all patient charts are reviewed and complete prior to visit
- Provides education to new patients
- Perform IV therapy as needed
- Monitors on-treatment patient status
- Participates in weekly chart rounds and facilitates data collection
- Maintains clinical area compliant with TJC requirements
- Conducts hand hygiene observations and documents accordingly
What you will need :
Required : Medical Assistant diploma from a medical assistant education program and / or high school diplomaNational certification from an accredited organization (such as CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA)Current C.P.R. certification issued through American Heart AssociationMedical or patient care experience in a health center or hospital setting as demonstrated through clinical hours or prior work experienceAbility to communicate clearly and effectivelyComputer literacy in Microsoft products and email. Experience with EHR software and EPIC a plus.Preferred : Excellent IV Therapy skills.Pay Range : $19.56 - $24.39
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
