• Other APPs in Practice : None
• Case Mix : ORIFs, open and robotic assisted total joints (knee, hip, shoulder), arthroscopies (knee, shoulder and ankle), IM nailing, DHS, external fixation, amputation.
• Duties :
• Surgical assistance for orthopedics including closing and rounding on post op patients as needed.
• Could assist with other specialties if there are no ortho cases.
• The surgical assistance will be mainly for elective cases but there could be add-on cases that have come through the ED.
• PA can follow-up on patients, however, it is the physicians responsibility to assess patients and sign off on documentation.
• Required Procedures :
• All orthopedic procedures including ORIFs, total joints (knees, hips and shoulders). Also, acetabular fractures required.
• EMR : Cerner and PACS (eMedPortal)

• No trauma since we are not a designated trauma center.
