Residential Coordinator - Autism Facility

Bittersweet, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides residential, vocational, and recreational services to individuals with autism.   Bittersweet Farms is seeking a  Full-time Residential Coordinator  for our Whitehouse location as part of our Community Living Program.    The Residential Coordinator will oversee and work directly with staffing managers & program leaders regarding training. The Residential Coordinator will serve as a contact and liaison to county boards regarding service plans for residents.

Oversee the assistance of all Community Living residents with any Health Insurance, SSI, Food Stamps, and HUD rent reassessment eligibility. Within this position the coordinator will also provide financial oversight of petty cash protocol.    A successful candidate will have knowledge and experience using computer programs such as Microsoft Suite, Britco, and SharePoint.

Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

One to two years of leadership experience.

Valid Driver’s License with eligibility to be insured. Must be able to handle on call responsibilities based upon rotation with program leadership.

Three to five years of experience working with individuals with autism is required.  Pay  /  Details :

• $47,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year  8 hours shift   Full time   On call responsibility   Whitehouse, OH : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)    Responsibilities :    Oversee and work directly with Staffing Managers and Program Leaders in regard to training and communicating their responsibilities.   Primary contact and liaison to county boards regarding service plans for the residents.   Responsible for the submission of Behavior Support documentation to Lucas, Wood, Ottawa and Shelby County Board of DD offices.   Responsible for documentation management and ensuring all forms of documentation are accurate and complete by staff, along with sending documentation to various county board DD offices as needed.   Oversee the assistance of all community living residents with any Health insurance (HMO, Medicaid, Medicare) eligibility, SSI eligibility, Food Stamps, HUD rent reassessment, voting, Tax preparation (as needed) and any other of program that requires the residents to re-verify their status in order to receive the program.   Oversee payment for all expenses related to all assigned residents in a timely manner provide monthly financial oversight of petty cash following all protocols.   Assist leadership in communicating with families, parents and guardians regarding any concerns or progress.   Knowledgeable in identifying potential MUIs and following proper protocol and procedures.   Serves as a backup to the staffing managers to conduct interviews with potential new staff.  Qualifications /  Skills :   Valid Driver's License and eligibility to be insured.   Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered   2 to 3 years of leadership experience   3 to 5 years of experience working with individuals with autism and / or other developmental disabilities in a Direct Support Professional (DSP) capacity is required.  Knowledge and experience using computer programs such as Microsoft Suite.  Previous experience and understanding of Federal and State requirements of HCBS, waiver service and Individual Options Waiver is preferred.    Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment and prioritize workload.   Must have good oral and written communication skills; including communication with outside organizations on a routine basis.   On call responsibilities based upon a rotation with program leadership  Physical Demands :   Reaching above shoulder heights, below waist, or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday.   Proper lifting techniques required.   lifting to 50lbs as needed may be part of the position   Benefits / Compensation :    Includes medical, dental, vision, paid disability and life insurance, personal time off, 401K with company match, ERN program with success coach, payday advance program, and 11 paid holidays  Powered by JazzHR
