Position : School Nurse - LPN

Location : Volusia County – Deltona

Openings : 9 (6 elementary, 1 HS, 2 middle school)

Salary Range :   $19-$26 / hr (Based on experience)

Interview :   One and Done

Hours : Dependent on school!

Must Haves :

  • Active Fl LPN License
  • 1+ year experience as LPN
  • ACLS / BLS certification

Plusses

  • Previous education experience
  • Previous occupational health experience

    • Day to Day

  • Provide direct health services to students in Pre-K through 12th grade.
  • Support both preventive and treatment-directed care in school clinics.
  • Work under supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications.
  • Assist with complex or chronic health conditions (e.g., tube feedings, catheterizations, glucose monitoring).
  • Perform nursing assessments and health screenings.
  • Deliver first aid and acute health room care.
  • Respond to emergency health needs (injury, sudden illness, etc.).
  • Manage case files and follow up on chronic conditions.
  • Refer students to appropriate local health resources.
  • Consult with parents / guardians regarding health concerns and follow-up needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard student privacy at all times.

    • Selling Points : weekends off, holiday break, summer break, set schedule, no on call
