Responsibilities
- Medical Communications Strategy : Leads across the company matrix to develop and deliver strategically aligned medical publications, scientific content, medical information, medical education, training content, and congress presentations. Ensures endorsement of medical communications plans by governance bodies and maintains plans aligned with Local Market Medical, Worldwide (WW) Medical, and market-level strategy. Serves as the Medical Communications point of contact between WW and other matrix partners. Provides medical communications management oversight. Enhances bi-directional communication by sharing WW medical communications plans and raising needs to WW Medical / Medical Communications teams, ensuring country / global awareness and vendor oversight. Owns the Scientific Narrative, publication plan, content plan, and application to the Scientific Communication Platform (SCP). Demonstrates strong business acumen and the ability to interface with market matrix partners and manage the Medical Communications budget.
- Data Dissemination : Acts as a subject matter expert to internal audiences on communication landscape, HCP preferences, publication planning, data disclosure / dissemination; represents company scientific communications to external investigators, authors, and journal editors. Promotes and reinforces publication principles, ensuring alignment with Good Publication Practices and company standards. Builds strong collaborations with internal and external disease-area experts to ensure data analysis, interpretation, and communication planning meet high quality standards. Drives opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and outsourcing strategies for consistent delivery and standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Fosters collaborative relationships with academic & clinical experts, publishers, and medical associations; partners with TA Medical Communication Leads, Market Medical, and other stakeholders to plan and allocate resources for timely delivery of high-quality medical communications. Partners with 3rd party vendors to balance internal and external work; establishes and communicates clear metrics with key stakeholders.
- Other Responsibilities : Maintains high performance, external focus, teamwork, personal accountability, and a commitment to quality; ensures audit readiness; promotes diversity and inclusion in decision making, organization, and talent development.
Qualifications
Advance scientific degree, PharmD, PhD or MD preferred.3+ years of Pharmaceutical / Healthcare industry experience in medical communications; experience in both local country and global settings preferred.Proven ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, inform, negotiate, and collaborate.Experience working cross-functionally with cross-cultural teams across matrix, markets, and geographies.MS Office and iEnvision.Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and drive results in a large, complex corporate setting with multiple priorities and tight timelines.Strong leadership, organizational, communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage timelines and quality of work.Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with strong time management.Experience leading medical communications across all phases of drug development and commercialization.Ability to analyze and interpret trial data; ability to influence and negotiate solutions; ability to build stakeholder relationships.Flexibility to schedule and participate in teleconferences and virtual meetings across time zones.Pay Rate
