Scope / Description of Services
Highly motivated, skilled, and experienced Senior Network Engineer (Design Focus) with a strong security experience to play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) data network infrastructure. Requires a deep understanding of network security principles, Cisco technologies, and industry best practices. Certification as a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE). Demonstrate expertise in network design assessment and be capable of leading complex enterprise state network initiatives. Ensure the secure and reliable delivery of Information Technology services to TWC and the people of Texas. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.

Expected Start Date 11 / 03 / 2025 and End Date 08 / 31 / 2026. Position may be renewed up to 4 years. Normal business hours Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. May be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings, and holidays, as requested. Must have a secure, dedicated workspace with Internet service, ability to maintain a reliable consistent work schedule, and be available for weekly meetings and group collaboration via Microsoft Teams and other applications during regular business hours. Position may require team members to come into the office; there may be unscheduled requests with seventy-two (72) hour notice for any TWC business need.
