Cost Accounting Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accounting Specialist to join our client's team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, code, and enter accounts payable in the accounting system.
• Manage accounts payable check runs and vendor inquiries.
• File credit applications and process W9 requests.
• Prepare vendor payables reports, allocations, and journal entries.
• Maintain organized and accessible company files.
• Process payroll, including timekeeping entries, tracking time off, and handling payroll taxes (semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and annually).
• Assist with annual workers' compensation audits.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry.
• Support team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
