Corporate Accountant

Primary Duties :

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations for multiple business units, ensuring all transactions are accurately captured and reconciled across various locations.
• Contribute to regular financial close cycles (monthly, quarterly, annual), including preparing account reconciliations, journal entries, and related financial schedules in line with U.S. GAAP.
• Compile internal financial data and support the preparation of financial reports, disclosures, and supporting documentation for audits and regulatory filings.
• Investigate and resolve technical accounting issues, identifying and correcting variances or inconsistencies.
• Oversee the tracking and accounting of fixed assets, prepaid items, and accruals, including calculating depreciation and amortization where required.
• Act as a point of contact for external audit teams, supporting both interim and year-end procedures.
• Review lease and rental contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment based on contract terms and payment arrangements.
• Identify ways to automate and improve components of the closing cycle to enhance overall efficiency.
• Work cross-functionally with departments like treasury, HR, legal, construction, and sales to ensure alignment with internal standards and accounting guidelines.
• Support ongoing compliance with internal financial controls, including those related to SOX requirements.
• Provide ad hoc support to the corporate accounting team and contribute to broader initiatives as needed.
• Take on additional tasks or special projects as assigned.
