Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Nashville, TN 37203 (Tennessee healthcare jobs)

Unit : 5T Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 1 / 12 / 2026 – End : 4 / 13 / 2026)

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : Every other weekend required

Patient Ratio : 3 : 1 / 4 : 1

Documentation System : Meditech

Dress Code : Scrubs (Galaxy Blue, Red, or Black)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,440 - $1,550

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

BLS and ALS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, Progressive Care, or acute care nursing experience

Experience with post-op CABGs, vascular, and general cardiac patient populations

Proficiency in cardiac drips / titrations and electrolyte replacement

Experience managing chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR Bands

Strong communication and responsiveness skills

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to cardiac and post-operative patients

Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, manage electrolyte replacement, and provide advanced cardiac care

Manage chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR Bands

Document patient care using Meditech EMR

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Provide excellent communication and responsiveness to patients and families

Participate in unit teamwork and support a positive work environment

Float to other units as required by facility needs
