Must-Have : Familiar with total joints and cesarean sections. Experience with MAKO robot is a plus.

Description :

The position is for a Surgical Tech in the Operating Room.

The department has 6 operating rooms and 1 GI suite.

Common cases include adult, pediatric, and geriatric surgeries, as well as obstetrics.

Common procedures involve orthopedic surgeries such as total joints, ORIF, and arthroscopy.

Obstetric procedures include cesarean sections, LAVH, D&C, and diagnostic laparoscopy.

General surgical procedures consist of laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and exploratory laparotomy.

Familiarity with C-arm, Mako robot, ligasure, and harmonic scalpel is preferred.

A manager or charge nurse is not assigned to each shift, and there is no charge nurse assignment.

Self-scheduling and team scheduling are allowed.

Call requirements include 1-2 call shifts per week based on need.

Weekend requirements involve being on call for one weekend per month from Friday 0700 to Monday 0700.

Holidays are also designated for being on call.

Typically, floating to other areas is not required unless prior training has been completed.

Scrub colors and the dress code will be provided.

The cancellation policy allows for cancellation of up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

The charting system in use is Meditech.

BSN is not required for this position.

Candidates must comply with all licensing and certification requirements as specified.

Facial hair must be removed to comply with fit testing regulations related to safety equipment.
