About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Washington. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, and spans a 40-day assignment with 24-hour shifts from 8a-8a, typically 3-6 shifts per month. The role involves working as the solo NNP on a NICU unit with a census of 8-15 infants and a neonatologist on call.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the solo Neonatal Nurse Practitioner on the NICU unit
  • Manage patient care for a census of 8-15 infants (maximum unit capacity of 20)
  • Collaborate with an on-call neonatologist
  • Participate in a busy delivery service within a NICU (no surgeries; no transport duties required)
  • Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization as needed
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards of care
  • Additional Information

  • Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in a NICU setting
  • Washington state license required
  • Required certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Board certification required : Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
