Summary
Assists with the day-to-day operations of the bookstore.
Knowledge & Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Loads and unloads textbooks, supplies and materials as received.
- Stock and/or remove textbooks onto/from shelves as directed.
- Assists with preparing merchandising items on displays and/or racks in the bookstore for sale.
- Assists customers in locating needed textbooks and supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Minimum: Enrolled High School Student, High School Diploma, GED or higher
Experience Minimum: None
Experience Preferred: Certification or training to operate a forklift

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software.
