The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst tackles complex business challenges using data from various internal and external sources to provide vital insights for decision-makers. This role involves moderate to high complexity tasks requiring deep evaluation of diverse factors.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain advanced T-SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
- Design scalable data models that fulfill business intelligence and analytics requirements.
- Create engaging dashboards, reports, and visualizations utilizing Power Platforms such as Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into thorough technical specifications.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive improvements in business performance.
- Present findings and actionable recommendations to leadership effectively and clearly.
- Mentor junior team members by providing them with technical guidance and support.
Required Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in healthcare-related data analytics.5+ years of technical expertise in SQL, particularly advanced T-SQL.Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and maintaining Microsoft Access databases using VBA.Advanced skills in developing interactive reports with tools like Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, or similar products.Experience in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Data Bricks).Intermediate knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate.Strong data analytics experience, particularly working with large and complex datasets in large organizations.Familiarity with healthcare data, including claims, billing, and reconciliation.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.Excellent verbal and written communication skills appropriate for senior and executive leadership.Proven ability to consult and build relationships with business partners.Critical thinker with initiative to anticipate team needs and produce high-quality work.Self-directed and capable of working independently with minimal guidance.Ability to convey technical information to non-technical professionals.Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.Experience in conducting forecasting or trend analysis.Familiarity with process improvement methodologies or Agile methodologies.Experience in process documentation and root cause analysis (RCA).Location / Working Arrangements :
Preference will be given to candidates located within a reasonable commuting distance to Louisville, KY. Home or hybrid work arrangements are available; however, employees must ensure their internet connection meets performance standards (at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload). Humana provides necessary equipment for remote employees.
This position may require occasional travel to Humana’s offices for training or meetings.
Compensation :
The estimated annual salary for this role is between $89,000 and $121,400, based on experience and geography. This position is also eligible for a bonus incentive based on performance.
