Indiana University Health Medical Group is seeking a Hospitalist to join their dynamic team in Bloomington, Indiana, home of Indiana University.

Position Highlights

• Join an established practice of physicians and advanced practice providers with excellent team leadership and supportive administration
• Full-time, Days
• 7 on / 7 off schedule, 25 weeks per year
• Patient volume : average 16-18 encounters per day with a combination of med-surg, PCU, and minimal ICU level of care (CLOSED ICU); manage codes; strong specialty support
• Services include hospital admissions, discharges and coordination with multiple disciplines and ancillaries / cross coverage; procedures not required
• 100% inpatient
• Opportunity to work with medical students; Internal Medicine Residency Program opening 2026

Hospital Description

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center. The facility supports healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and teaching. Students and trainees frequently participate in clinical experiences at the hospital.
