The Systems Integration Engineer for GRAIL Lab will support the space program located in Houston, TX .
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and Systems Integration Engineer for the integration activities of the Gateway Ready Avionic Integration Lab (GRAIL), a critical integration effort of the Gateway Program which will return to the Moon.
- Collaborate with lab personnel, partners, providers, and testing stakeholders to understand interface and testing requirements
- Leverage interface knowledge to assure lab design provides the proper interfaces and fidelity to satisfy testing objectives.
- Develop expertise on lab verification efforts and ensure facility is applicable for assigned testing.
- Assist in lab equipment testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure equipment meets requirements and is satisfactorily integrated.
- Maintain strict documentation of integration processes, equipment specifications, configurations, and testing results.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Provide support to lab personnel and external customers on integrated systems and their specifications.
- Continuously reassess documents, policies, procedures for future configurations of the lab.
- Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews.
- Communicate and organize in order to efficiently work within a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status due to the sensitivity of customer related information.This position requires space industry or DoD work experience.Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of engineering.Must have 5+ years of recent and related work experience.Experience integrating complex hardware and software systems.Troubleshooting, diagnostic, and debugging skills.Knowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements.Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection.Knowledge of networking hardware and software.Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.DESIRED :
Knowledge of Flight Hardware and / or Flight Processes / Paperwork.Experience with NASA processes.Knowledge and experience with DOORS Next Generation.WORK LOCATION :
This position is located onsite and offers a 9 / 80 schedule with every other Friday off; some travel may be required.Schedules are subject to change based on the requirements of the position and / or customer needs.BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED :

DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING REQUIRED :
All Bastion employees must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and are required to participate in periodic random drug and alcohol screenings.

Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.All of Bastion's employees must be team players with strong work ethics and must be culture oriented.Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
