Healthcare Setting : Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED)

End Date : March 23, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7p-7a)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Unit Size : 11 beds

Patient Ratio : 1 : 4

Scrub Color : Royal Blue

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470 - $1570

ER RN Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Emergency Department (ED) or Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) settings

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas RN license preferred)

BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS, CPI certifications required

Proficiency in tough sticks, large bore IVs, blood cultures, triage, and patient monitoring

Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Flexible, strong teamwork skills

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced FSED environment

Perform emergency response procedures and point-of-care (POC) lab testing

Initiate and manage trauma protocols, code blue, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis protocols

Start and manage large bore IVs, draw blood cultures, and triage patients

Document patient care in Meditech EMR system

Float to other FSED / ED areas as needed
