Job Title : Patient Care Coordinator

Job Description

The Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in providing essential clerical support. This position involves coordinating communication among patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient transitions of care, secure payment for clinical services provided, and maintain regulatory compliance. The role also involves starting insurance authorizations and assisting with scheduling.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

  • Experience with EPIC software.
  • Experience in scheduling and registration.
  • Experience in prior insurance verification.
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a Patient Care Coordinator.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Business or Healthcare preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Understanding of healthcare and medical procedures.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Experience in insurance authorization and care coordination.
  • Work Environment

    The position is based in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The work schedule consists of five 8-hour shifts from 08 : 45 AM to 5 : 15 PM, Monday through Friday.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redmond, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 / hr.
