Responsibilities:

  • Develop Ship Change Documents (SCD) required for the fielding of new software and hardware releases within the Navy Data Environment (NDE) database.
  • Serve as the POC for all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) requirements and development. Coordinate and assist in the development of logistics planning requirements for program management plans.

  • Ensure configuration management records are entered and maintained in the Navy's current logistics data system Model Based Product Support (MBPS) database.
  • Provide metrics and status of ILS Certifications in process/approved while attending meetings such as Ships' Planning Meetings, and Integrated Logistics Management Team Meetings as needed.
  • Ensure proper logistics support is in place to support shipboard system installation, upgrades, and modifications. Coordinate with ILS Certification submitters and stakeholders to assure identification of proper logistics and accurate/complete ILS certifications.
  • Maintain metrics for each process and report progress to the Project Lead avoiding delay in release schedules.
  • Work extremely well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, interfacing daily with Project Lead, testers, and engineers, to identify and specify requirements for a wide range of applications while executing team plans and goals.
  • Interact independently with mid to high level Navy leadership and customers in the planning and execution of new software/hardware releases being fielded to the Fleet in a disciplined manner.
  • Utilize word processing/desktop publishing applications such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, and web browsers.
  • Submit packages through the Regional Maintenance & Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO).
  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings through TEAMS concerning ships classes, baseline managers, and ship availability managers.

Qualifications:
