Job description

Product Leader for Authentication Flows Team

PayPal seeks an exceptional product leader for our Authentication Flows team. We are creating a world where payments and identity are synonymous with PayPal. The Identity Platform is a suite of services and experiences, used by internal and external developers to authenticate customers to enable payments anytime, anywhere and anyway. The Identity Platform processes billions of requests each month and enables PayPal and its partners to rapidly innovate on new payment scenarios and enable new experiences. Therefore, the evolution of the Identity Platform is integral to PayPal's long-term strategy. We ensure our users have secure but easy access to their PayPal accounts and transactions regardless of the type of device, connectivity, geographic location or any other factor.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Inputs to product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product.
  • Implements the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation, while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, meeting customer needs and product profitability.
  • Controls for the customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and as an input to decision making.
  • Monitors metrics that inform the success of products including usability studies, research and market analysis.
  • Manages one or more workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
  • Participates in operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews. Interfaces with product leadership as needed.
  • Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • At least 3-5 years' experience building consumer or B2C software
  • Prior experience building Identity or Authentication products
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-63, FTC and EU SCA / PSD2 guidelines on Authentication
  • Direct prior experience in eCommerce, FinTech, and the banking ecosystem is a major plus
  • Proven track record for building, launching, and maintaining high-scale, successful products
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business and technical acumen. Can balance technical and business concerns when making product decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, influencing and decision-making skills and high attention to detail.

    The US national annual pay range for this role is $152,500 to $262,350
