About the Role
We are looking for a talented and dedicated individual to take on the role of Financial Reporting Associate Vice President. In this key position, you will lead the preparation and review of financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually, ensuring compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant standards. You will be integral in coordinating statutory financial reports for regulatory filings and analyzing financial results to identify insights and discrepancies. Your expertise will ensure accuracy in reinsurance transactions and reporting, especially concerning life reinsurance contracts.
The ideal candidate will lead month-end and year-end closing processes, prepare insightful internal management reports, and provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership. To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields, with a preference for professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or similar. We require at least 5 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within the reinsurance or insurance industry.
This role demands strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements, in addition to excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools is essential. Experience with life reinsurance contracts and transactions will be an added advantage. We value teamwork, so the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve reporting issues and improve processes is crucial.
