Description :

A press operator is responsible for maintaining print units and packaging equipment to ensure smooth operations while meeting the client's needs with the highest quality standards. Their main duties include troubleshooting machines for malfunctions or irregularities, fixing machine parts as needed to ensure they operate properly, and conducting quality checks. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Salary Range : $23.00 - $31.00 per hour

Eligible for a 10% performance bonus opportunity paid quarterly

Both 1st and 2nd shifts available

Requirements :

• You will be responsible for hanging the rolls, the print quality, along with the chipboard inserter, and the Sollas over wrapper. Your helper will box, lid, and skid the finished product.
• Set up / make ready and operate multi-color, offset printing presses to reproduce various documents, including security documents, letterheads, forms, and other custom-made-to-order print jobs.
• You are responsible for wash-ups, changing plates and blankets, and adjusting press and packaging equipment.
• Apply chemicals, ink, and cleaning solvents to the press for proper operation.
• Make sensitive adjustments to plates, rollers, ink fountains, and paper to produce quality products.
• Monitor equipment and job runs during the process to ensure quality and consistency of finished pieces.
• Clean, oil, adjust, and perform minor repairs.
• Perform a variety of assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of techniques, materials, and equipment.
