Senior Help Desk/ System Administrator 1

We are looking for an expectational Help Desk senior who is ready to move to system administration for an onsite contract in downtown Atlanta. This consultant has to have strong customer support skills with a passion for various systems and platforms.

The selected candidates will work under limited supervision, oversee the installation, configuration, and support to a local area network, wide area network, Internet system, computers, desktops and/or mobile devices.

Responsibilities include:

• Installing and configuring software, hardware, and networks Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure Manage network Servers and technology tools.
• Set up accounts and workstations.
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Recommends equipment improvement or replacement.
• Serves as highest advanced-level subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance for professional staff.
• May also serve in a lead role.

Qualifications: CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO ATLANTA

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
• 3 years of proven experience as a System Administrator
• 3 years of experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• 3 years of experience installing and configuring software, hardware, and networks
• 3 years of experience monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
• 3 years of experience managing network Servers and technology tools
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills
