Coordinates the scheduling of patient infusions / procedures / diagnostics for assigned area or function. Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling programs. Verifies appropriate clinical indications as per department requirements. Communicates with medical and clinical staff to ensure appropriate indications, availability of facilities and staff and intake preauthorizations at time of scheduling. Communicates with patients and / or their families, as permissible, to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
