About the Role

Infrastructure Engineering Inc. (IEI) Newark, NJ Office has a career opportunity for a Civil Engineer II to join our Team! We are a leading engineering firm known for quality and responsiveness and a proven track record of success as a Prime civil engineering firm. The Civil Engineer II role will support the Design Team and perform professional engineering work, including developmental assignments involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under close supervision.

The primary responsibility of the Civil Engineer II is to manage project engineering and document control from the site field office, concentrating on the schedule, budget updates, correspondence logs, and requests for information. The purpose of these programs is to communicate career opportunities and promote workforce diversity within the Agency. Essential Duties / Functions and Responsibilities :

• Prepares design computations, plans and related construction documents.
• Prepares reports, specifications, studies, and permits.
• Analyzes and interprets variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
• Assists in analyzing and interpreting engineering and construction documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Prepares quantity calculations and cost estimates.
• Prepares engineering and design documents using computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment.
• Performs construction observation and prepares appropriate documentation.
• Organizes and maintains project files and documentation.
• Assists in preparation and presentation of technical information to colleagues and clients.
• Assists Project, Design and / or Office Managers as requested.

Pay Range : $85,000 - $95,000 per year
