Job Title : Welding Technician Shift : 3rd Pay : $23

Job Description

Join our team as a Welding Technician where you will be responsible for flux core and MIG welding on heavy gauge carbon steel, interpreting blueprints and weld symbols, and utilizing measurement tools. Your role will also involve fitting and fabricating products using hand and power tools, operating forklifts and overhead cranes, and occasionally lifting materials weighing between 50-75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform flux core and MIG welding on heavy gauge carbon steel.
• Interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.
• Use tape measures and other measurement tools for precise fitting and fabrication.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Utilize hand and power tools to fit and fabricate products.
• Maintain clean and organized work area with attention to detail.

Work Environment

Work in a heavy steel manufacturing environment with a mix of new and old equipment. The facility operates in three shifts : 1st shift (6 : 30am-2 : 30pm), 2nd shift (2 : 30pm-10 : 30pm), and 3rd shift (10 : 30pm-6 : 30am). The environment is dirty and not well-lit, with a team of over 50 full-time workers and approximately 120 people in production.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Youngstown, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $23.00 / hr.
