Responsibilities
Completes other responsibilities as assigned in support of pharmacy operations and within the pharmacy technician scope of practice. Prepares non-sterile compounded medications, including hazardous medications and cross trains in more advanced functions when deemed appropriate. Prepares, fills, receives, delivers, stocks and restocks medication inventory and supplies for the pharmacy department and drug storage areas. Repackages bulk medications. Assists with customer service and patient needs, including answering telephones, managing work queues and completing medication histories. Responsible for assisting with orientation and training of new pharmacy technicians and students. Maintains and supports medication distribution systems and distribution channels, including automated dispensing cabinets, code carts, trays and kits. Processes medication charges / credits when applicable. Performs prescription data entry in pharmacy system when applicable.

Education and Certification Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)

Demonstrates the ability to respond positively in a stressful environment and meet the physical demands of the department. Required Work Experience : Experience preferred, but not required.
