DAY TO DAY AS A mortgage LOAN OFFICER
As a Mortgage Loan Officer at Greenville Federal Credit Union, you will play a crucial role in guiding members through the real estate transaction process. Your responsibilities will include effectively interviewing members to gather personal and financial information while actively listening to identify their unique needs. By researching member accounts, you'll uncover additional lending opportunities and foster strong community relationships to attract new mortgage applications.
Staying informed on economic conditions and regulations, including compliance with CFPB standards, is essential to your role. You will verify loan applications and closing documents, ensuring accuracy throughout the process, while also assisting with any issues that arise. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that all mortgage loan files are complete and accurate, ultimately contributing to our mission of providing exceptional service to our members.
Key aspects of this role include driving sales by engaging with prospective and existing members through internal leads and community relationship-building, developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing members, identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities through networking and cold calling, and regularly traveling to meet members and attend networking events.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A mortgage LOAN OFFICER
To excel as a Mortgage Loan Officer at Greenville Federal Credit Union, candidates should bring 2-5 years of experience in the lending or financial field, ideally within the financial industry.
