Are you a recent graduate seeking an entry-level position in civil or environmental engineering, or a motivated engineer in training (EIT) with 1-4 years of experience who is on the career path to becoming a licensed Professional Engineer? This Civil / Environmental Engineer position will participate in a variety of interesting and challenging projects that will hone your design skills, including site development, environmental mitigation and permitting, water & sewer utilities, street & pedestrian facilities, hydrology & hydraulic modeling, culvert design, stream bank stabilization, and more. You will learn how to work with teams of engineers, owner representatives, surveyors, planners, and multiple engineering disciplines to develop construction plans, estimates and specifications. Many of our projects include all aspects of civil / environmental engineering design with the chance to follow the project during construction through inspection and contract administration support. The Ideal Civil / Environmental Engineer Will :

• Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with proHNS policies & procedures.
• Effectively coordinate with a team of engineers, inspectors, subconsultants, and other representatives.
• Perform engineering calculations in support of design projects and technical analysis.
• Have basic understanding of civil site, utility, stormwater, transportation, permitting, or environmental engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiently utilize MS Suites, AutoCAD Civil 3D, EPANET, HEC-RAS, or similar.
• Conduct periodic site visits to construction sites to monitor the quality and progress of the work.
• Draft project correspondence, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
• Tabulate work or pay item construction quantities from construction plans.
• Be familiar with WSDOT LAG Manual, municipal / county codes, or similar.

Compensation and Benefits :

Employees receive a competitive benefit package including access to our Medical Insurance plans with the employer paying 100% of the employee plan. Employees are eligible to participate in our company 401k plan with up to a 4% contribution from the employer. Position will include paid time off and eight paid holidays. proHNS pays for expenses associated with licensure, training, and certifications. We offer annual performance bonuses and have done so every year since inception. We offer a supportive work environment that prioritizes company culture.

The wage range for this position is $27.50-$40 per regular hour, DOE. Overtime pay eligible at 1.5x regular wage rate for over 40 hours worked per week.

This position is anticipated to work remotely, from home, until proHNS opens a branch office in Skagit County, WA. Upon opening of branch office, the position will be expected to report daily to office. All job required resources will be furnished by proHNS. The position is open until filled.
