Job Overview

Location : Windsor, CT

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000 annually

Job Summary : One of our clients is hiring a full-time, onsite Quality Engineer / CMM Programmer in Windsor, CT. The team specializes in producing complex, close-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.

Job Duties

  • Develop and edit CMM programs using PC-DIMS and MCOSMOS for machined components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and technical documentation to define inspection strategies.
  • Identify and utilize appropriate fixturing, tooling, and setups to ensure repeatable and accurate measurements.
  • Review and verify inspection and testing of products for compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R to validate measurements.
  • Create and maintain quality assurance documentation including control plans, inspection plans, FAI, PPAP per customer requirements.
  • Ensure projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives, and / or contracts.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role.
  • Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in CMM programming required.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodologies.
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
  • Proven experience in quality inspection and assurance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (Minitab, SPC) for measurement data interpretation.
  • Ability to perform well in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and passion for excellence.
  • Ability to work, drive initiatives, and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
