American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for a home health assignment requiring BLS certification and Oasis familiarity.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Home health position providing OT services in a post-acute care settingAssigned to a specific geographical region for patient visitsWork schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm with flexible hoursEvery third weekend rotation and holiday coverage only as neededCommon patient diagnoses include orthopedic, stroke, joint, and spinal injuriesInterdisciplinary team includes PT, OT, Speech, and Rehab Aides / OTA / PTA (permanent staff)Cerner EMR is used and experience is preferredOrientation lasts 1.5 to 2 weeks and is specific to the assigned unitMust wear business attire with a white lab coat; jeans are not permittedHoliday coverage is for minor holidays with major holidays only if neededReturning applicants must not have worked for affiliated facilities within the past year\n \n Requirements\n
Active, unrestricted OT license required if applicable; pending licenses not acceptedMinimum 2 years of Occupational Therapist experienceBLS certification requiredExperience with Oasis documentation requiredAt least 1 year of PT / OT / Speech experience is required; home health experience preferred but not requiredCopy of driver's license requiredTwo professional references : one supervisor from the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility\n Benefits\n
