Job descriptionMaintain pharmacy inventory, check for expired products, and process returns. Prepare and label prescriptions according to state and federal regulations. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment. Support front-end operations (OTC, vitamins, and supplements) and customer service. Currently enrolled in an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Interest in independent pharmacy practice, patient care, and community engagement.
The Pharmacy Intern supports the daily operations of the independent pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community pharmacy practice, patient care, medication management, and pharmacy business operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Patient Care & Dispensing :
- Assist pharmacists in processing, preparing, and dispensing prescriptions accurately.
- Perform medication data entry and verify insurance information.
- Counsel patients on medication use under supervision, focusing on adherence and safety.
