About the Role :
The Regulatory and Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs that mitigate risk and promote ethical business practices. The specialist will collaborate with various departments to monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on company operations. They will also conduct regular audits and training sessions to ensure ongoing compliance and foster a culture of accountability. Ultimately, this role safeguards the organization's reputation and operational integrity by proactively managing compliance risks.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks applicable to the industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of multi-state compliance laws.
- Knowledge of HIPPA, OSHA, FWA (Fraud, Waste, & Abuse), and Driver's Safety Training laws.
Preferred Qualifications :
Professional certification such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or equivalent.Experience working within a regulated industry such as finance, healthcare, or manufacturing.Familiarity with international regulatory standards and cross-border compliance issues.Advanced degree in Law, Business, or a related field.Demonstrated experience in conducting compliance training and awareness programs.Responsibilities :
Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure organizational compliance.Develop, update, and implement compliance policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide guidance and support on compliance-related matters.Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and maintain accurate documentation of compliance activities.Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance policies and regulatory changes.Investigate compliance incidents and coordinate with management to resolve issues promptly and effectively.Benefits :
