Job description

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as a Medical Assistant, providing essential support to healthcare providers and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and compassionate patient experience. This part-time PRN role involves performing patient care duties within the scope of medical assistant licensure, assisting with treatments and procedures, and facilitating clinic operations to optimize patient flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient care tasks accurately and timely, following providers' orders.
  • Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent and preparation.
  • Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to legal guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.
  • Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with referral coordinators.
  • Manage exam room supplies, medication samples, and maintain cleanliness and infection control standards.
  • Support teamwork, adapt to changes, and contribute positively to the work environment.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program.
  • Licenses and Certifications

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of medical assistant duties and scope of practice.
  • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform independent judgment tasks.
  • Commitment to providing excellent patient care and fostering positive relationships with providers and patients.
