About the Role
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Heavy Civil Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale infrastructure and civil construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges, roadways, utilities, earthwork, and site development.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans in coordination with field teams, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owners, engineers, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Oversee subcontractor and vendor management, including contract negotiation, scope alignment, and performance oversight.
- Monitor project progress, safety compliance, and quality control, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Prepare and present project reports, cost forecasts, and schedule updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor field staff, superintendents, and assistant project managers to drive accountability and performance.
- Proactively identify risks, delays, and scope changes, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
Previous project management experience in heavy civil construction (years flexible depending on candidate).Knowledge of civil construction means and methods, scheduling, estimating, and contract administration.Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.OSHA and safety certifications preferred but not required.Compensation & Benefits
