Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Job Title : Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel Nurse

Location : Bridgeport, Connecticut 06606

Assignment Type : 13-week travel nursing contract

Unit : LDRPN 5N 5S

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 15, 2026

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2360 – $2420

On-Call : 12–24 hours per 6-week schedule

Schedule : Every other weekend and holiday as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or compact state

At least 1 year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or Postpartum nursing (both preferred)

Experience with circulating and PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) required

Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications

EPIC EMR experience preferred

C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification preferred

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred

Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients

Monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery

Assist with deliveries and provide immediate newborn care

Circulate and recover patients in the PACU as needed

Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR (if experienced)

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Participate in on-call rotation and respond to unit needs as required
