About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse - Float Pool - Bed Management

Experience : Minimum 1 year recent Telemetry experience and strong Med Surg experience - minimum 2 years
License : Active RN license in ND or compact state
Certifications : Active BLS (AHA), ACLS
Must-Have :
Candidates must have cardiac experience.
Ability to start IVs, perform dressing changes, and provide central line care.
Willingness to float to all units listed in the job description.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with a minimum patient ratio of 1 : 4.
Description :
Candidates must note if they have previously worked for the organization.
Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
Scrubs color : Navy Blue.
This location does not accept local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles.
Candidates should have experience with MS and Tele / Stepdown patients.
Will float between all Med Surg units and the progressive care unit.
Responsibilities include caring for post-cath patients, titrating intravenous cardiac medications, administering medications, monitoring patients, and performing wound care.
Candidates will care for patients in observation with chest and abdominal pains, postoperative patients, and infusion patients needing blood or antibiotics.
High patient turnover with an average of 2 admissions and 10 discharges within 12 hours.
The unit currently serves as a COVID unit.
Candidates will care for post-surgical patients, administer medications, and monitor conditions.
The role involves assessing, planning, and implementing care and treatment for stroke / neuro and oncology / medical patients.
Candidates will care for overflow patients in nontraditional areas such as the emergency department and PACU until a bed is available on a traditional unit.
Equipment utilized includes an electronic medical record system and narcotic dispensing system.
Candidates must be very organized and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
Training includes 2-3 shifts with a preceptor and classroom training for the electronic charting system.
The client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
Candidates must be flexible with their schedule, working every other weekend and two of the next three holidays.
Floating to other units and departments is required.
Dress code : Dark Navy Blue scrubs.
