Summary

Exciting opportunity to empower bilingual learners in a specialized upper-elementary special education program! This position is focused on delivering Spanish-language instruction in a self-contained classroom while guiding students with IEPs toward academic and social-emotional growth. Success comes through close collaboration with families, staff, and service providers to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver Spanish-language instruction aligned with IEP goals and academic standards
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum and use differentiated strategies to support diverse learning needs
  • Conduct assessments and use data to guide instruction
  • Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with families, general educators, and related service providers
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to intervention and support planning

    • What You’ll Need

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
  • Bilingual (BSPA) endorsement or ELS (TBE) with TLP Spanish
  • Fluency in spoken and written Spanish
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs
  • Familiarity with WIDA standards and Common Core
  • Proficiency with Google Classroom and related instructional technology
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and analyze student data
