The Content Marketing Coordinator will support student-facing marketing efforts by managing social media channels, creating compelling student-focused content, supporting student-facing email marketing, and collaborating on student research and education initiatives. The role requires staying ahead of social media trends and translating ideas into engaging posts, videos, and memes tailored to Gen Z and the student housing experience. You will manage content calendars, experiment with formats, and track performance to improve engagement. This role can be remote in the US and involves occasional travel as needed.

Role Details

Work Location : Remote, US

Travel : 5% (may vary based on business needs)

Compensation Structure : In addition to base salary, eligible for a bonus / commission plan

Reporting Structure : Reports to the Senior Manager, Content Marketing

What You'll Own

Manage and fulfill client email requests for College Pads campaigns, coordinating and executing email sends for property management companies, landlords, and higher education institutions

Ensure timely delivery of campaign materials and track completion of scheduled sends

Collaborate cross-functionally to reduce manual workflows and improve efficiency and scalability of email operations

Build and Grow a Student-Focused Social Media Presence

Own and grow College Pads' social presence for students, starting with Instagram and TikTok

Create and schedule engaging, on-trend content : memes, housing tips, reels, etc.

Monitor engagement, report on trends, and experiment with new formats to boost reach

Create Educational Content to Help Students Navigate Off-Campus Housing

Develop guides, videos, checklists, reels, and infographics to support students during their housing search

Collaborate with copy and design teams to ensure content is visually engaging, accessible, and aligned with brand guidelines

Repurpose partner-facing materials into formats and language that resonate with Gen Z

Assist in market research by helping design, distribute, and analyze student surveys and feedback

Support Other StarRez-Wide Thought Leadership and Campaign Initiatives

Assist with content creation, logistics, and promotion for webinars, research reports, and renter education initiatives

Coordinate cross-functional campaign activities spanning student, university, and industry audiences

Collaborate with the marketing team to amplify campaign reach through social media, email, and content repurposing

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, or social media

Proficiency in managing social media platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram

Strong writing skills tailored to Gen Z audiences

Experience using tools like Figma, HubSpot, Google Analytics, or similar

Comfortable with basic performance tracking and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

Video editing experience (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, etc.)

Experience in higher education, student housing, or property tech

Familiarity with SEO and content optimization
