Job Title : Sterile Processing Coordinator

Location : Long Beach CA

Contract Length : 13 Weeks (Possible Extension or Contract-to-Hire Opportunity)

Shift :

3rd Shift : 11 : 00 PM 7 : 30 AM

Compensation :

Travel Pay Range : $1400 $1500 per week (All-inclusive; dependent on experience and location)

Position Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Coordinator to join our healthcare team on a 13-week contract assignment in Long Beach California . The ideal candidate will have recent hospital experience and a deep understanding of sterilization processes instrument handling and infection prevention. This role ensures that surgical and clinical teams are equipped with safe sterile instruments to support optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities :

Decontaminate inspect assemble wrap and sterilize surgical instruments and trays.

Operate and maintain sterilization equipment including :

Autoclaves

Washerdisinfectors

Ultrasonic cleaners

Conduct and document biological and chemical tests to confirm sterilization effectiveness.

Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of instrument sets and sterilization records.

Restock and distribute sterile equipment and supplies to clinical departments.

Adhere strictly to infection control and safety standards.

Collaborate with operating room and nursing teams to ensure timely delivery of sterile instruments.

Required Experience :

Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing experience in a hospital or surgical services environment.

Strong knowledge of :

Instrument identification and handling

Sterilization techniques and processes

Infection prevention standards

Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Required Certifications (Active at Start) :

CRCST Certified Registered Central Service Technician (HSPA)

AHA BLS Basic Life Support
