Job Title : Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech)

Location : Rancho Mirage CA

Work Setting : Outpatient Cancer / Imaging Clinic

Schedule : Monday-Friday hours vary (7 : 30 AM-4 : 00 PM 8 : 00 AM-4 : 30 PM or 9 : 30 AM-6 : 00 PM) depending on coverage needs

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Pay Rate : $75.00 / hr

Start Date : Tentative - 12 / 01

Position Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams as well as dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) exams. The ideal candidate provides compassionate patient care ensures accurate documentation and billing and adheres to all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams in compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and state regulations.

Conduct DEXA exams as assigned.

Educate patients on procedures reduce anxiety and provide clear explanations of equipment and exams.

Escort patients from waiting area to procedure room.

Obtain appropriate medical history and patient consent including film release signatures when necessary.

Accurately document procedures and procedure codes in EHR and PACS systems.

Maintain cleanliness of radiology rooms and equipment.

Demonstrate compliance with organizational policies ethical standards and code of conduct.

Adapt to changing priorities provide support across main and satellite locations as required.

Qualifications : Education :

Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)-approved School of Radiologic Technology.

Licensure / Certification :

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiology (R)

California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License in Radiography and Mammography

American Heart Association BLS

Experience :

Mammography screening experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and healthcare staff.

Proficient in operating mammography and DEXA equipment.
