Job description1+ year1 experience civil engineering / infrastructure plan production AutoCAD experience required Associate's Degree in CAD preferred or Certificate in Drafting, or an acceptable level of CAD training. Self-starter with the curiosity and desire to learn and grow skills and abilities in CAD. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to read, understand and apply design standards. Able to work in teams and as an individual contributor. Solid communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to consistently deliver best efforts in support of internal clients. Overview
Snyder & Associates' Gladstone, MO office has an immediate opening for an experienced CAD Technician / Designer to work in the creation of detailed drawing and construction plan preparation in civil, transportation and utilities engineering projects.
The successful candidate will have a professional and positive attitude with a strong work ethic; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and the flexibility to work both with a team or independently.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare engineering drawings using practical CAD knowledge for assignments supporting land survey projects and civil engineering design efforts.
- Work closely with land surveyors, engineers and other designers to ensure coordinated projects.
- Compile data and perform calculations required for preparation of plans and drawings.
- Assist with hydraulic analysis of storm sewer systems.
- Prepare consistent plans and engineering drawings.
