Location : Tampa Bay Area

Salary Range : $80,000 - $100,000

Overview :

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support month-end close processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager :

Manage daily accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and reconciliations

Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements

Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review

Develop, document, and improve accounting policies and internal controls

Lead and mentor accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audits and compliance reviews

Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Manage fixed asset accounting and ensure proper recording of capital expenditures

Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements

Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed

Qualifications for the Accounting Manager :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred but not required

3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Dynamics highly preferred

Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar industry environment preferred
