Job description353 Fairmont Blvd., Rapid City, SD Level II Trauma Center Level III NICU Magnet Designated Primary Stroke Teaching Hospital 417 Beds Travelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility Unit Information : Beds : 1 room; in May or April there will be a brand-new room that will be a hybrid cath lab / OR Likely 1-2 cases per day Minimum Years of Experience required? Nurse & Tech : Minimum of 2 years in procedure area Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, under review of skills and management Adults\n\n Cases / procedure types : \n Open and closed procedures\n\n TAMBE - thoracoabdominal branch endoprosthesis\n\n TCAR - transcarotid arterial revascularization\n\n TEVAR - thoracic endovascular aortic repair\n\n TAVR - transcatheter aortic valve repair\n\n TMVR - transcatheter mitral valve repair\n\n AIFF - aortoiliac femoral femoral angiogram\n\n Femoral bypass\n\n Required Certifications\n Nurse : BLS, ACLS\n\n Tech : ARRT or equivalent OR RCIS is required, BLS, ACLS\n\n Skills required : \n Nurse : \n ICU background required\n\n Cath lab experience required\n\n Comfortable with monitoring sedation and gtt titration\n\n Endovascular approach experience\n\n Ideal candidate : experience in either Cath lab or IR and then specialized in endovascular cases\n\n Will not be recovering or prepping patients\n\n Tech : \n Experience with endovascular procedures with cardiothoracic surgeons required\n\n Experience performing these cases in Hybrid OR setting\n\n If they have no experience with the listed procedures, please decline.\n\n Support within the Department : \n Charge nurse available in the Cath lab\n\n Technology / Equipment : \n EMR : EPIC\n\n IV Pump : Alaris\n\n Med dispensing : Omnicell\n\n Siemens and Philips X-ray and hemodynamic systems\n\n Floating : If yes, where?\n Float to assist within the Cath lab for peripheral and structural procedures\n\n Orientation (facility and unit) : \n NEO\n\n 4 x 10hr shifts for the first week with a preceptor\n\n Scheduling : \n Weekend rotation : Flexibility needed. Likely working every other or every third weekend.\n\n On call? If so, what is that schedule?\n On-call is 24-hour coverage\n\n Likely on-call every other to every third night (1-2 times per week)\n\n Holiday Expectations : Likely to work every other holiday\n\n RTO : Managers approval\n\n Shift times : 0600-1630\n\n Schedule cycle : comes out every 4 weeks\n\n Other notes : \n Scrub Color : scrubs provided\n\n Parking : Free\n\n Unit Culture : Flexibility and willingness to learn Weekly pay Holiday Pay Guaranteed Hours Continuing Education 401k retirement plan Pet insurance Referral bonus Medical benefits Dental benefits Vision benefits License and certification reimbursement Life insurance
